“Always on the look out for a good read, I jumped into this one head first. Starting with book three in what will soon be a four book (so far) series, I was a little concerned I may be lost in the story. Not so! Claudia’s grasp of story telling had my hooked from the first page. Her characters are as real as your neighbour next door, fully three dimensional and easy to relate to.

This was one of those books that I couldn’t put down, but at the same time I didn’t want it to end! Now I want to quickly get books one and two, while I axiously await book four!” – PWR, Ontario Canada

I may be biased, being Claudia Hall Christians biggest fan and all…but this is by far the best Fey book yet. Again we are in the middle of the mystery that Alex (The Fey) has been trying to solve since the beginning of the series, but also a few new story lines that are as always tied to the bigger mystery.

I love this author because she does such a fantastic job of bringing the reader into the emotional and physical realm of the story. Everything that this team goes through we get to experience first hand. There isn’t anything that you could want from a story that you don’t find in this book.

My only complaint, as always is that the story ended! I can’t wait to read the next book!

4.0 out of 5 stars The mystery deepens, March 7, 2011

After having read both The Fey and Learning to Stand, I am invested in the main character Alexandria Hargraves. Claudia has captured Alexs’ emotional turmoil, strength and the struggle to be who she is, brilliantly. The action and suspense kept me reading late into the night and through the next day. It will keep me reading the next one, ten or twenty in the series.

While I didn’t want this book to end, it did. Now I’m not sure if I can stand waiting another year for the next one.
